For our faculty is not merely an institution of higher learning; it is the living expression of an ideal, a culture, and a long-standing tradition of wisdom and enlightenment.
Necatibey Faculty of Education proudly carries the legacy of a teacher‑training tradition that has inscribed its name in gold in the history of Turkish education. Since the early years of the Republic, our institution has been shaped by knowledge, strengthened by conviction, and elevated by idealism. With a history spanning more than a century, our faculty stands not only as an academic space but also as a home of culture, a center of intellectual refinement, a cradle of civilization, and a sanctuary of science.
We are the faculty of teachers who do not see their primary duty as merely delivering lectures, but as nurturing individuals who understand the present, envision the future, cultivate hope, and build tomorrow. We firmly believe that teaching is a sacred profession—an ideal, a mission, and the deepest consciousness that shapes a society. Guided by this belief, we strive to educate our students not only with professional knowledge but also with ethical values, analytical thinking, humanistic sensitivity, and a vision that touches the heart as well as the mind.
The 21st century requires individuals who do not simply consume knowledge but produce, transform, share, and reinterpret it.
